Get Tribe on your phone so a new message reaches you like a text — and you can reply from wherever you are.
You can use Tribe in a browser, but most ambassadors live in the app. It's free, it's the same account, and it means a prospective student's message finds you on the bus rather than waiting until you next open a laptop.
📲 How to install it
- Open the Apple App Store or Google Play and search for Tribe.
- Install the app and open it.
- Enter the email address your invitation was sent to.
- Check your email for the 8-digit code and enter it.
- When the app asks to send you notifications, tap Allow.

Step 5 is the one that matters. The app only asks once, and without it you won't know a student has messaged you until you happen to open the app. Students really do notice who replies fast.
🧭 Finding your way around
The bar at the bottom has three tabs:
- Ambassadors — your fellow ambassadors. Have a look at how others have set up their profiles.
- Chats — your inbox. This is where you'll spend nearly all your time.
- More — your profile, settings and log out.

✅ Check it worked
Ask a friend, or your university admin, to send you a test message. Your phone should buzz within seconds.
🙅 Said no to notifications?
It happens. To turn them on afterwards:
- iPhone: Settings → Notifications → Tribe → Allow Notifications
- Android: Settings → Apps → Tribe → Notifications → on
If that doesn't do it, see Not Getting Notifications.
