Set your name, role and intro message, choose whether prospects can see you, and manage your password.
Your profile is what ambassadors and prospects see when you message them, and — if you choose — what prospects see in the public Iframe alongside the ambassadors. Open it from Profile, the last item in the sidebar.
Before you start
- You need to be signed in. Everything on this page saves automatically; there's no Save button.
👋 The basics
On the right, How visitors will see you shows a live preview of your card, with a Profile strength percentage above it.
Fill in:
- First name and Last name
- Role — your job title, for example International Officer. It sits under your name in The basics (up to 128 characters) and shows next to your first name whenever you post inside a prospect–ambassador conversation, so prospects know a member of staff has joined. Leave it empty and only your first name is shown.
- Introduction — a short line about what you do, under My role.
- I am from — your country or countries.
- About me — a longer description, if you want a public profile.
- Profile photo — click the camera icon on the photo.
Intro message
The Intro message is the first thing a prospect reads when they open a chat with you. Keep it to two or three sentences: who you are, what you can help with, how quickly you reply.

Scroll to Account for visibility, security and signing out.
Hide my profile
By default, an admin can appear in the public Iframe like an ambassador. Click Hide my profile if you'd rather not be listed.
While you're hidden, a banner confirms it — Your profile is hidden. Prospects can't find or contact you right now — and the button changes to Unhide my profile. Hiding doesn't affect your inbox or your ability to join conversations.
Password
Tribe signs you in with an email code by default. If you'd prefer a password:
- Click Set a password under Password.
- Enter a password of at least 12 characters.
Once a password is set, the block reads A password is set for this account. and the button becomes Change password. Changing it signs you out on your other devices. See Logging in for how each sign-in method works.
