The success of your platform depends on how easily prospective students can find and interact with your ambassadors. This guide covers how to embed the Tribe Iframe—your central community hub—and how to use Toasts to drive traffic from across your website.
🏗 The Tribe Iframe (Your Hub)
The Iframe is the main interface where prospects browse and chat with ambassadors. We recommend hosting this on a dedicated "Chat with a Student" or "Community" page.
How to implement the Iframe:
- Log in to your Tribe Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to the Integrations tab.
- In the Full Iframe Integration section, you will see two snippets of code:
- Snippet 1: Copy and paste this into your website editor exactly where you want the Iframe to appear on the page.
- Snippet 2: Copy and paste this at the very end of your page code, just before the closing
</body>tag.
- Save Changes in your website editor.
The Iframe should now be live and visible on your page!
🍞 Toast Notifications (Driving Traffic)
A "Toast" is a compact pop-up card that appears in the bottom-right corner of your website. It acts as a friendly call-to-action that redirects visitors to your main Tribe Iframe.
Pro-tip: Implement Toasts on high-traffic pages like Student Life, International Student hubs, or specific Course pages. You can even filter the Toast to show ambassadors from a specific degree or country to match the page content!
How to implement a Toast:
- Navigate to the Integrations tab in your Admin Dashboard.
- Go to the Toast Notification section.
- Personalize it: Select a profile question (e.g., Course) and the relevant response (e.g., Mechanical Engineering) to filter which ambassadors appear.
- Copy the generated code and paste it into your website editor before the closing
</body>tag.
- Save Changes.

Toast Implementation
The Toast is a compact pop-up card which you can implement on different pages throughout your website. Once website visitor opens up the relevant page, the Toast will pop-up in the bottom right hand corner with a clear call to action, and redirecting to your main Tribe Iframe. Interesting pages to implement a toast include student life pages, international pages and course pages.
You can tailor the Toast to display ambassadors by course, degree level, national v international, and country, depending on the page on which you implement it. To implement a toast on one of your webpages, follow the following steps:
- Log-in to your institutions Tribe Admin Dashboard
- Navigate to the ‘Integrations’ tab in the navigation bar
- Focus on the ‘Toast Notification’ section of the page
- Select a profile question by which you want to personalise the Toast e.g. Course
- Select the relevant response e.g. Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
- Copy the code and paste it into the desired webpage in your institutions website editor before the closing
</body>tag
- Save the changes in the website editor
