The success of your platform depends on how easily prospective students can find and interact with your ambassadors. This guide covers how to embed the Tribe Iframe—your central community hub—and how to use Toasts to drive traffic from across your website.
🏗 The Tribe Iframe (Your Hub)
The Iframe is the main interface where prospects browse and chat with ambassadors. We recommend hosting this on a dedicated "Chat with a Student" or "Community" page.
How to implement the Iframe:
- Log in to your Tribe Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to the Integrations tab.
- In the Full Iframe Integration section, you will see two snippets of code:
- Snippet 1: Copy and paste this into your website editor exactly where you want the Iframe to appear on the page.
- Snippet 2: Copy and paste this at the very end of your page code, just before the closing
</body>tag.
- Save Changes in your website editor.
The Iframe should now be live and visible on your page!
🍞 Toast Notifications (Driving Traffic)
A "Toast" is a compact pop-up card that appears in the bottom-right corner of your website. It acts as a friendly call-to-action that redirects visitors to your main Tribe Iframe.
Pro-tip: Implement Toasts on high-traffic pages like Student Life, International Student hubs, or specific Course pages. You can even filter the Toast to show ambassadors from a specific degree or country to match the page content!
How to implement a Toast:
- Navigate to the Integrations tab in your Admin Dashboard. Top right corner in your Admin Dashboard to the left of the ‘Invite User’ button.
- Go to the Toast Notification section.
- Personalize it:
- If you want it to redirect to the main iframe pre-filtered on a specific group of ambassadors: Select a profile question (e.g., Course) and the relevant question ‘answer’ (e.g., Mechanical Engineering) to filter which ambassadors appear.
- If you want it to redirect to the main iframe without pre-filtering on a specific group of ambassadors: Select the top profile question, but do not select an ‘Answer’ option.
- If you want to redirect to the main iframe while being pre-filtered on a specific individual ambassador: Go to the ‘By Ambassador’ tab, and select an ambassador on which you want the toast to pre-filter
- Add the custom text you would like the toast to display. This field is optional, if you leave it empty the default toast text will be used.
- Click on the ‘+ Toast’ button. This will generate the code for the configured toast.
- Copy the generated code and paste it into your website editor before the closing
</body>tag.
- Save Changes.
